Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
The historic Allerton Hotel Chicago, home of the legendary Tip Top Tap ballroom, reinvented itself with a multi-year, $80 million renovation from a show business club hotel into a hip residential boutique. Roaring Twenties period charm still resides in the 23-story landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and one of the first skyscrapers in the Windy City, but the 443 guest rooms and suites now feature plush modern decor, marble baths, flat-panel TVs, and high-speed Wi-Fi access as well.
As it did in the days when radio shows broadcast from its rooftop, The Allerton Hotel caters to business meetings and corporate events with two boardrooms, six meeting rooms, and two ballrooms, including the 300-capacity Tip Top Tap. Incentive shopping and dining beckon on the bustling Magnificent Mile.
