Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
The Waldorf Astoria Berlin unveiled the heights of luxury when it opened in early 2013. The hotel occupies a new landmark, an ultramodern skyscraper designed by the world-renowned German architect Prof. Christoph Mäckler. At 31 stories, the Zoofenster building stands as the tallest structure in the west side of the city. It rises next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, just a short stroll from shopping along Kurfürstendamm and the Tiergarten, the largest park in Berlin.
Inside Germany’s first Waldorf Astoria, guests find 232 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, all featuring state-of-the-art decor set off by classic motifs. Additional pleasures include a Pierre Gagnaire restaurant named Les Solistes, the Romanisches Café with terrace overlooking the Breitscheidplatz, Lang Bar on the first floor, Peacock Alley beside a signature Waldorf Astoria grandfather clock, and a 10,763-square-foot Guerlain Spa on the fifth floor with a unique spa terrace.
Guests gathered for business or celebrations find a 3,552-square-foot ballroom and five conference rooms grouped on the second floor. Without a doubt, attending groups will appreciate the hotel’s lofty benchmark for luxury based on traditions from the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York, known for its flawless execution of events no matter what the occasion. At the same time, they will appreciate the hotel’s twenty-first-century spirit that captures the Zeitgeist of modern-day Berlin.
