Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Washington DC’s iconic Watergate Hotel began a new chapter when it opened its doors in summer 2015. A $125-million renovation infused one of history’s most fascinating hotels with bold, mid-century modern design, including sculptural furnishings by Italian designer Moroso. The plans included 340 guest rooms, most with balconies and Potomac views, plus spa and fitness facilities, casual and fine dining options, an opulent whiskey bar, and scenic rooftop space ideal for executive events.
The total of 27,000 square feet of all-new event space includes 11 flexible rooms indoors, anchored by a 7,000 square-foot ballroom. An additional 10,000 square feet of outdoor space for events overlooks the Potomac. Of course, many of DC’s most popular attractions wait nearby as well, including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the many shops and restaurants of neighboring Georgetown.
