Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Set in the heart of Virginia’s Northern Neck, the Tides Inn has a rich history that dates back to the mid-1940s, when it first opened its doors on a private peninsula. Surrounded by the splendor of the Chesapeake Bay, guests enjoy comfortable accommodations in 70 guest rooms and suites and exclusive access to the marina, a full-service spa, Golden Eagle Golf Course, boat rentals and excursions, and a variety of complimentary resort activities. The resort places a focus on heritage, maritime activities, and, most of all, an undeniable dedication to hospitality.
Featuring idyllic views of Carter’s Creek, the property offers 3,000 square feet of recently refreshed meeting and event space. The newly enhanced options include flexible venues that can host parties of up to 200. Elevated details and décor complement the modern coastal ambience of the resort. In addition, outdoor areas such as the beach, boardwalk, and manicured lawn can entertain groups of up to 200.
Throughout their stay, guests enjoy fresh, locally sourced cuisine from two onsite restaurants. Its signature dining experience, Chesapeake Restaurant, offers American cuisine and seafood classics with waterfront views and indoor and outdoor seating. The newest spot, Fish Hawk Oyster Bar, is a casual coastal eatery that overlooks Carter’s Creek and features a raw oyster bar, seafood, burgers, craft cocktails, and more.
Tied to tradition since 1947, the Tides Inn offers all the sophisticated comforts expected from Virginia’s most beloved historic resort.
