Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
With tigers in the backyard, a volcano out front, and luxury rooms, dining, entertainment, and amenities inside, The Mirage offers a dream destination for events at the center of the Strip.
Of the 170,000 total square feet of meeting facilities at the AAA Four Diamond resort, 90,000 are housed in the Mirage Events Center, a pillarless space for general sessions, trade shows, galas, dinners, and other crowd-pleasing affairs. Additional venue choices — all located within close proximity on one level — range from the 40,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, complete with recessed stage, to the Nassau Boardroom for intimate, executive gatherings. The Mirage’s Five Green Keys rating attests to its leadership in sustainable practices throughout.
The approachable staff happily helps customize details for events anywhere on the property’s 5 tropical acres. The possibilities are endless: Planners can arrange for an evening reception with a family of bottlenose dolphins and allow their guests to meander to see white lions and tigers. In addition, the recently launched Stay Well Meetings program boosts energy and productivity with wellness features such as nutritious menus, aromatherapy, air purification, and more.
During free time, groups can take a break at the spa and renowned dining venues such as Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak and Osteria Costa, which serves coastal Italian cuisine. Attendees can enjoy world-class entertainment, music, and comedy and, at day’s end, retire to any of 3,044 luxury accommodations, including suites with LED TVs, wet bars, and blissful beds.

The sales staff and my direct meeting contact were phenomenal. So often hotels book you and then pass you on. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who's had customer service issues in the past stay at The Mirage. I know I'll put my groups here again.

MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS MOBILE APP SERVICES TO GOOGLE'S ANDROID & RIM'S BLACKBERRY OPERATING SYSTEMS

Twelve Free Las Vegas Resort & Entertainment Apps Now Available on Additional Smartphones
LAS VEGAS - February 1, 2011 - MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM; www.mgmresorts.com) recently launched 12 free applications on Google's Android and is set to launch them on Research In Motion's BlackBerry OS in March. Previously only available on iTunes, the expansion into additional operating systems allows MGM Resorts International to deliver new ways to explore its Las Vegas hotels and attractions for a broader customer base.
"We've created a dynamic new way to engage our guests with a convenient information and reservation system and the response on iTunes so far has been incredible with more than 200,000 downloads," said Scott Voeller, Vice President of Brand Strategy and Advertising for MGM Resorts. "The overwhelming popularity of Smartphones initially motivated us to create the apps for iPhones, but the opportunity to reach more guests with exclusive offers and content and also receive their direct feedback encouraged us to expand to Android and BlackBerry users."
Feature-rich resort applications for ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus Circus in Las Vegas and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi deliver some of the world's most immersive interactive resort experiences currently available.
In addition to the resort apps, MGM Resorts and MacroView Labs developed "Entertainment of Las Vegas," an app expressly designed to deliver video previews, show times, event calendars, directions and the ability to purchase tickets to all of MGM Resorts' Las Vegas entertainment and attractions.
