The Meritage Resort and Spa lies four miles from downtown Napa, California, evoking Old World Tuscany at the gateway to Napa Valley wine country. Groups settle into a choice of 158 luxurious rooms and suites, then enjoy the largest, most flexible modern meeting space in the region. The venues range from a 10,500-square-foot ballroom to intimate boardrooms, a wine cave, vineyard terrace, patio, and pool deck adjoining fire pits and bocce courts.
Catered events draw on the Tuscan-inspired talents of the chef at Siena, the resort's wine-country restaurant with lively exhibition kitchen. For some, free time begins with daily wine-tasting classes in the Estate Wine Cave. Others head straight for the spa, an exotic pleasure palace housed in a subterranean cave equipped with steam grottos, soaking pools, water walls, and ten private treatment rooms.

Used this venue in 2012 so my information may be a bit outdated.
PRO's-
-The newer meeting space was almost the best I've seen! Rooms are very well laid out, functional, spacious and stylish!
- The outing/indoor venue/patio was a hit for meals and receptions.
-This place is in a business center but you would never know it! Resortlike and definite NAPA ambiance.
- The luxury bowling alley was a hit for our group!
- The newer rooms were nicely appointed. Felt like a luxury hotel! All with patios/balconies a real hit!
CON's
- The banquet food was hit or miss. Mixed reviews.
- Although they run complimentary shuttles to downtown...it is certainly not walking distance.
- They had some time share/condos which don't bother me to have in my room block but some attendees prefer otherwise.

The Meritage Resort & Spa is the best meeting destination in Napa, California. Our group received excellent service from the initial site visit all the way until the event itself. The location is ideal with easy access to go out and explore other areas of Napa or to take the hotel shuttle to downtown Napa or two local golf courses. The guest rooms are very deluxe as well as the meeting space and the chef is magnificent. Throughout our recent meeting, I received nothing but high rated compliments from my attendees regarding their wonderful experience at the hotel. We held an event in the Wine Cave and it was a moment to remember. The possibilities are endless and I'm 100% confident we'll book an event again at the Meritage Resort & Spa.

I LOVE this property. I talk about it to so many people who are not familiar with it, but I have been using it (as a complete buyout) since they opened. Sonya has been there since day one and she is the BEST!! Michael is the general manager who is personally involved. Since they opened the new building and meeting space, nothing in Napa can compete. Check it out!!! I can't wait to return.

The banquet and front desk staff was outstanding. Unfortunately the walking trail was closed so we couldn't take advantage of walking through the vineyards. The leadership of the hotel still needs to put their clients as their first priority instead of the bottom line.
