Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg crowns the Petersberg, a mountain in Germany's oldest nature preserve, high above the Rhine River valley overlooking Königswinter and Bonn. Dating from 1892, the hotel has been called Germany's Camp David due to its use as an official government retreat and conference house over the last century. The guest book reads like a who's who of world history, from ambassadors to royalty to U.S. presidents.
The majestic exterior belies a contemporary standard of five-star hospitality inside, complete with 99 guest rooms, spa, indoor pool, bar, and three restaurants. Impressive colonnades lead to a rotunda with space for up to 1,000 guests, while 15 conference rooms serve working groups of 10 to 500. Highlights include the latest technology and direct access to terraces overlooking centuries-old woodland and the valley beyond.
