Mohegan Sun’s Resorts Casino Hotel brought legal gaming to the Atlantic
City Boardwalk when it opened May 26, 1978 — and the rest is history. Since 2014, the hotel’s transformation has united Atlantic City luxury with the atmosphere of a classic beach resort.
Amenities within include an 83,000-square-foot casino; 942 guest rooms and suites; and — as of fall 2015 — a new conference and convention center with more than 64,000 square feet of space in 24 state-of-the-art function rooms. Views of the Atlantic line 14 of these function rooms, and for convenience, 17 rooms share the same floor with three of the resort’s four ballrooms.
The attractions continue with a world tour of dining, from the Manhattan-style Gallagher’s Steakhouse and Capriccio Italian Ristorante to Eastwinds for Asian cuisine and seven casual outlets — including a food court for guests in a hurry. They go on to encompass five bars and lounges, two showrooms for headliner events, and a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Entertainment Complex featuring two oceanfront restaurants that can accommodate 500 for private events and the only year-round beach bar in town.
In the unlikely event that guests have time to spare, they can head for the indoor/outdoor pool, health club and spa, or unique retail outlets. And if that’s not enough, the boardwalk location leads to a sugar-sand beach and a variety of nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops.
