Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Sunshades, loungers, and more than 500 feet of private, sandy seashore highlight the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, which is set at the quiet north end of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For business, planners choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor venues, including the Atlantic Ballroom and Oceanview Ballrooms, each with its own terrace and breathtaking views of the Atlantic.
The topmost floor holds another meeting planner favorite: the Sky Suite, which comes with its own elevator, 1,100-square-foot private balcony, and dining room for eight. No matter what the venue, the hotel — a member of the Noble House family — aims to provide the highest level of flexibility and customization for every guest and group.
All 147 of the accommodations, which were renovated in 2019, feature new furnishings, spa-inspired fixtures, and freestanding soaking tubs; nearly all incorporate views of the sand and sea. Yet most guests spend the bulk of their free time at the beach, lazy river, zero-entry pool, and poolside lounge. If all that isn’t relaxing enough, there’s a Swedish-themed spa on the roof guaranteed to soothe the senses.
For dining, Ocean2000 restaurant serves its renowned surf-and-turf menu with both indoor and outdoor seating; O2K Lounge specializes in libations and light fare; and The Emporium offers sweet treats in a 1950s-style ice-cream parlor.
