LAS VEGAS (July 15, 2015) – MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM), one of the world’s leading presenters of live entertainment, today announced plans for an approximately 5,000-seat theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The new concert venue will amplify the vibrant entertainment district taking shape on the west side of the Las Vegas Strip with a robust calendar featuring special engagements by many of the music industry’s most-celebrated performers.
With more than 7 million entertainment tickets sold in 2014 alone, MGM Resorts’ offerings are unrivaled. The Company owns and operates two arenas; two Las Vegas Strip festival lots (62 acres); seven theaters housing Cirque du Soleil production shows; 14 theaters for concerts, headliners and comedy performances; and more than two dozen lounges and nightclubs. Additionally, it is currently developing a new world-class Las Vegas arena as well as integrated resort projects in Macau and National Harbor, Maryland, each of which will feature entertainment venues as central amenities.

Adjacent to The Park and 20,000-seat arena currently under construction on Las Vegas Blvd. between Monte Carlo and New York-New York, the theater will anchor the dynamic new entertainment district currently taking shape. While The Park and Arena are expected to open in April 2016, the Monte Carlo theater is projected to welcome its first act at the end of 2016. Unique to the market, the theater will offer dynamic seating that allows for easy transformation into multiple configurations, reflecting the flexibility of the space.
The development of this new theater at Monte Carlo creates opportunities for two beloved shows within the MGM Resorts family to get back to their roots, returning to the properties where they first wowed Las Vegas audiences:
Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group will move to Luxor this fall, returning to the property where they initially took Las Vegas by storm. The new venue, currently home to Jabbawockeez, will allow Blue Man Group the ability to transform its production into a custom entertainment experience built for maximum impact, with the action and spectacle closer than ever before.

Jabbawockeez
Jabbawockeez will take its dynamic mix of jaw-dropping choreography, music and special effects to MGM Grand, the city’s nightlife and entertainment leader. They will perform in the newly renovated theater currently occupied by Beacher's Madhouse, where legendary Vegas showman Jeff Beacher will continue to bring his outrageous and over the top Beacher's Madhouse shows every Saturday night.

Chefs from Rochat's Illustrious Career to Create One-Night Only Menu with Proceeds to Benefit the James Beard Foundation
LAS VEGAS (February 2015) – Legendary Las Vegas chef André Rochat will be honored by his past and present peers and protégés Sunday, March 29 at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Rochat, who is celebrating 35 years in Las Vegas in 2015, will host the evening as a team of chefs create a one-night only menu that will feature exquisite culinary creations. The dishes, selected to acknowledge and honor Chef Andre, will showcase the talents of each chef. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the James Beard Foundation (JBF), the world’s foremost culinary nonprofit organization.

In 1980, French-born Rochat changed the face of Las Vegas’ dining industry, introducing the city to its first freestanding fine dining experience. Decades before the Fremont Street Experience and Zappos arrived, Downtown Las Vegas belonged to Rochat. That was then he purchased a 1930s-era house downtown and transformed it into his eponymous restaurant. Andre’s in Downtown Las Vegas featured dining rooms named after French cities, along with copper pots used as light fixtures and wine labels framed as art creating the ambience of a French country inn. As the only freestanding gourmet option at the time, Andre’s quickly became a hit with locals looking for a place to celebrate a special night out and visitors willing to travel a few miles via taxicab to the must-see restaurant. The restaurant made such an impact, the city of Las Vegas honored Rochat for his contribution to the community by renaming the street, formerly known as Lewis Place, to Chef André Rochat Place. In 1997, Rochat opened a second location on The Strip, Andre’s Restaurant and Lounge at Monte Carlo. By 2001, he opened Alizé at the Top of Palms Casino Resort. In 2008 and 2009, both Alizé and Andre’s were recognized by the Michelin Guide with the one-star rating.

From Master Sommelier Steven Geddes to Greg Engelhardt to Eric Patterson, they all credit Rochat with serving as a mentor over the last 35 years. Even within his own kitchen, those positioned to take Rochat’s culinary fare into the next 35 years can each pinpoint the techniques he has personally taught them.

Monte Carlo's New Yoga in The Plaza Offers Sun Salutations On The Strip

LAS VEGAS (December 1, 2014) – Monte Carlo Resort and Casino invites guests to start their Saturdays with stretches and salutations with its newly launched Yoga in the Plaza. The Strip-side location provides a revitalizing setting for participants to connect with their body and breath while embracing the refreshing morning air.

Taking place each Saturday at 8 a.m., the hour-long class is designed to accommodate all skill levels and is complimentary for Monte Carlo hotel guests.

“Increasingly, travelers want to maintain their healthy lifestyles when they are away from home,” said Patrick Miller, Monte Carlo’s general manager. “Yoga in the Plaza is a fun, interactive way for visitors to stay fit, in the heart of one of the world’s most iconic and unique boulevards.”

Yogis are led through a series of poses by instructor Alicia Goldsmith, who has taught yoga for more than 19 years. Goldsmith specializes in providing a class that balances the body and mind through breathing, physical postures and guided meditation. No need for guests to pack their yoga accoutrement, Monte Carlo provides mats and towels, as well as bottled and cucumber water.
After class, participants can continue the healthy start to their day at Sambalatte, the Plaza’s café lounge and espresso bar. The menu includes nutritious breakfast items such as fresh fruit smoothies, veggie quiche, teas and a variety of coffee options, of course.

Located west of the Las Vegas Strip, between New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts, the new 20,000-seat arena will host boxing, UFC and other sporting events, major headline entertainment, awards shows and special events.

New strategic relationship between Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM Resorts’ M life
expected to be largest loyalty program collaboration in Las Vegas

CHICAGO/LAS VEGAS (June 5, 2013) – Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) today announce an unprecedented relationship between their affiliates that will offer substantial benefits to members of their loyalty programs, Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM Resorts’ M life. Starting June 20, Hyatt Gold Passport members will be able to earn and redeem Hyatt Gold Passport points at 12 iconic participating MGM Resorts destinations in Las Vegas, and M life members will be able to earn M life Tier Credits when staying at Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world.

The relationship between Hyatt, with more than 450 hotels and resorts worldwide, and MGM Resorts International, with approximately 40,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas across 12 participating properties, is expected to be the largest loyalty program collaboration in Las Vegas.

Beginning June 20, participating MGM Resorts destinations can be booked through Hyatt.com and Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Centers in addition to mlife.com and individual MGM Resorts property websites. Guests with membership in Hyatt Gold Passport and M life will be able to earn both Hyatt Gold Passport points and M life Tier Credits on eligible rates and spend for stays beginning on or after June 20 at participating MGM Resorts destinations.

LAS VEGAS – April 18, 2013 – MGM Resorts International unveiled details today about the
experience it is creating in Las Vegas surrounding the world-class 20,000-seat arena under development in partnership with renowned sports, entertainment and facilities organization AEG. Plans include new Stripside experiences at New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts and a public park leading to the new state-of-the-art arena. The Company also announced details about the team who will bring this robust new experience to fruition.

THE VISION
For centuries, plazas, squares and grand boulevards have served as important gathering places where people take in the sights, sounds and flavors of great cities. Enlivening one of the city’s most exciting intersections, MGM Resorts will create an experience that encourages social interaction and one of Las Vegas’ best-known pastimes – people-watching.

Providing opportunities for visitors to enjoy Las Vegas outdoors, this vibrant plaza will connect New York-New York and Monte Carlo as well as the newly announced arena on land behind the resorts. Construction will begin on the outdoor experiences at New York-New York and Monte Carlo in the coming weeks, with anticipated completion in early 2014.

LAS VEGAS BLVD. ENHANCEMENTS
The front facades of New York-New York and Monte Carlo will be transformed into an outdoor plaza experience featuring a series of casual bars, eateries and retail destinations. New York-New York will modify its skyline and Brooklyn Bridge to create a wonderful environment brought to life through a vibrant patio culture and retailers new to the market. Anchoring the new experience will be Hershey’s Chocolate World™ flagship store, a two-story interactive, experiential destination that celebrates the incredible array of Hershey's-branded products that inspire the "Hershey's Happiness" mantra. Additionally, the hotel’s Irish pub, Nine Fine Irishmen, will be enhanced, including an expansion of its high-energy patio culture both on the casino floor and the Brooklyn Bridge.

At Monte Carlo, the current formal European-style exterior features will be removed to make
way for new partners, including Double Barrel, a casual roadhouse restaurant and bar concept by the leading hospitality experts at sbe; Sambalatte, the art of sipping found in the ultimate coffee experience, beloved by Las Vegas locals, and soon available to visitors; and 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, serving build-your-own personal pizzas prepared to each guest’s liking and baked in around a minute in an 800-degree wood-burning oven, right before their eyes

Between the two properties and leading back to the Company’s new arena will be a park
environment featuring dining pavilions and performance spaces complemented by areas for quiet relaxation. At the gateway to the park will be Shake Shack, a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its all-natural burgers, flat-top dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more by restaurateur Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group.

Entertainment giants join forces to design privately funded, state-of-the-art sports & entertainment facility on Las Vegas Strip
Las Vegas, March 1, 2013 -- MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) and AEG today
announced the companies have entered into an agreement to pursue the development of a privately funded, 20,000-seat indoor arena in Las Vegas on land located west of the Las Vegas Strip, between New York-New York and Monte Carlo. The new arena would be a venue capable of hosting boxing and other sporting events, major headline entertainment, and other special events.

The arena will be the centerpiece of a complete revitalization of the area between New York-New York and Monte Carlo, extending from Las Vegas Boulevard to Frank Sinatra Drive. The overall project will involve new retail shops, dining and entertainment offerings, both betweenthe two properties and along their frontage on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

The project is anticipated to be financed with equity contributions from each of the partners as well as privately funded third-party financing. “The combination of MGM and AEG along with the superior Las Vegas Strip location is already driving strong interest from potential investors in this exciting new development," said Mr. Murren.

Design and planning is well underway and the partners will begin seeking appropriate approvals immediately.

LAS VEGAS - Nov. 14, 2012 - Green Key Global, the largest international certification body evaluating sustainable hotel operations, has awarded the prestigious “5 Green Keys" rating to four MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) properties for its Green Key Meetings Program, including Bellagio Resort & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and MGM Grand Las Vegas. The four MGM resorts are the first in the United States to receive "5 Green Keys" for meetings, and among an elite group of only six total in North America.

MGM Resorts remains one of the most productive meeting and convention destinations in the world, offering award-wining experiences throughout its three million square feet of meeting and convention space.
