Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
When Park Hyatt decided to launch its first property in the Caribbean, it’s no wonder that the brand chose this secluded but inviting utopia. Park Hyatt St. Kitts occupies 20 acres on the island’s southeastern peninsula, overlooking Banana Bay and The Narrows, a strait that separates St. Kitts and neighboring Nevis.
The sweeping water views serve as a backdrop to a wide range of amenities and luxurious accommodations, which feature airy décor, spa-inspired bathrooms, and balconies or terraces that face the sea. Many of the 48 suites add a private pool, none more astonishing than the infinity-edge expanse on the sundeck of the 5,280-square-foot, two-level Presidential Villa. The ultimate in VIP lodging, it also features three bedrooms, a lounge area with pool table, and its own fitness equipment.
The 7,000 square feet of indoor meeting rooms also takes on an open, airy atmosphere, thanks to large windows and light paneled walls. Whether they’re attending a cooking lesson in the Reception Kitchen or a banquet in the Banana Bay Ballroom, attendees feel welcomed by spaces that reflect the Caribbean tradition of holding gatherings in private homes.
For dining, the resort offers three onsite restaurants, including The Great House, an all-day eatery with indoor/outdoor seating, a rum bar, and an herb garden. Among the leisure options are ocean sports, the Lagoon Pool and adults-only Rampart Pool, spa treatments, and hiking in the surrounding hills.
