Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Set to open in summer 2016, the Caribbean-themed Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando will feature 1,000 island-
inspired accommodations and 115,000 square feet of meeting space around a lush tropical lagoon pool, cascading waterfalls, water slide, and beach. Water taxi and shuttle service will connect guests to all the myriad dining and entertainment options of Universal Orlando’s 673-acre resort, where the perks of staying at a Loews include a host of special privileges at Universal’s world-famous theme parks.
Back home, the meeting space at Sapphire Falls will include a 41,000-square-foot ballroom (divisible by 12) and a 32,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Fifteen additional meeting rooms, three visiting planner offices, and 11,000 square feet of outdoor event space will complete the on-site venues. However, the resort will connect directly to another 156,000 square feet for meetings and events at Loews Royal Pacific Resort next door. Together, the two sister resorts will accommodate large and small groups alike with a combined 2,000 guest rooms and 271,000 square feet of flexible, scalable meeting space.
The overall styling found throughout Sapphire Falls will also distinguish its state-of-the-art fitness center, lobby lounge Strong Water Tavern, indoor-outdoor restaurant Amatista Cookhouse, pool bar and grill Drhum Club Kantine, and New Dutch Trading Company for grab and go fare—a special convenience for attendees wishing to take full advantage of every meeting, event, and leisure attraction under the Orlando sun and stars.
