Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Built in 2015, the Kimpton Taconic Hotel blends right in to the historic community of Manchester, Vermont. The design took inspiration from the region’s grand resorts of the late nineteenth century with their clapboard and shingle–style architecture, divided-light windows, dormers, and wraparound porches. At the same time, the hotel offers all the latest in modern-day perks, from a 24-hour fitness center and seasonal outdoor pool to Frette guest linens, a hosted social hour, and a farm-to-fork menu in its Copper Grouse restaurant.
Named for the Taconic Mountains on the near horizon, the hotel features 84 guest rooms and suites, three guest cottages, and a 2,600-square-foot ballroom divisible by three. Taken together, the ballroom, prefunction solarium, adjacent terrace, and event lawn total 9,600 square feet for gatherings of every size and purpose.
