Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Hotel Breakwater opened in 2011 after a multimillion-dollar renovation combined two neighboring landmark hotels, the three-story Breakwater and the four-story Edison, at the heart of South Beach. Art deco–inspired interiors by the Stephen B Jacobs Group, who furnished the Gansevoorts in South Beach and New York, produced the latest word in South Beach glamour, from the aquarium-style pool and 100 guest rooms to the rooftop lounge overlooking the Atlantic and passing street scene on Ocean Drive.
While the lounge offers an ultra-hip retreat for rooftop receptions, most meetings take place at the Art Deco Center, a 4,000-square-foot multiuse facility directly across from the Breakwater. Delegates seeking a break from business can enjoy spa services, the fitness center, Italian cuisine at Nine, and fun flavors from around the world at Ocean's 10.
