Conrad Miami Appoints New Associate Director of Sales and Group Sales Manager
MIAMI, Fla. – April 5, 2012 – Conrad Miami, located in Miami’s business and financial district, today announced the appointment of Matthew Tobin as new director of sales and groups and Patricia Pautynsky as sales manager of the 203-room luxury hotel. Both Tobin and Pautynsky will report to Philippe Thevenet, the hotels director of sales and marketing and begin their assignments effective immediately.

“Matthew and Patricia add a robust background of luxury hotel sales success with leading hotel brands nationally and across South Florida,” said Martin Wormull, general manager, Conrad Miami. “Their combined expertise and accomplishments at exceeding sales goals make them valuable assets to Conrad Miami, and we look forward to surpassing past sales achievements with their addition to the team.”

Matthew Tobin has been named associate director of sales and brings more than seven years of experience in the hospitality industry. He will oversee the sales efforts for the hotel in domestic pharmaceuticals, medical and health services, sports, and the Northeast market. Prior to joining Conrad Miami, Tobin oversaw national sales for luxury hotels in New York and Miami, acquiring significant expertise in pharmaceutical and financial client accounts throughout the East Coast. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in hospitality management in 2005 from Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Fla.

Patricia Pautynsky has been named group sales manager and brings eight years of experience as a member of luxury hotel sales teams. Pautynsky will oversee primarily the local group market as well as the DC, VA and MD area. Before joining Conrad Miami, Pautynsky worked as part of sales teams at a variety of hotels in South Florida, exceeding group markets annual sales quotas by up to 155 percent and securing significant new accounts that resulted in measurable growth for the properties. She began her career as event and conference services manager and transitioned to the sales side of hospitality. Pautynsky earned a bachelor’s degree in 2001 in hospitality management from Florida International University, in Miami.

Award Recognizes Hotel’s Commitment to Local Community Children
MIAMI, Fla. – (July XX, 2011) – Conrad Miami’s career awareness curriculum for third grade students at the nearby Southside Elementary School has earned the hotel the Florida Commissioner of Education’s 2011 Business Recognition Award for Miami-Dade County. The hotel, which has participated in the state’s “KAPOW” (Kids and the Power of Work) program, received the award at a ceremony on June 9 in Tampa.

CONRAD MIAMI APPOINTS PHILIPPE THEVENET,

MIAMI, Fla. – April 26, 2011 – Conrad Miami today announced it has named Philippe Thevenet as director of sales and marketing for the 203-room luxury hotel in Miami’s business and financial district. With more than 12 years experience in the hospitality industry, Thevenet will oversee the sales and marketing efforts for the hotel as well as manage a team of 10 sales, marketing and catering professionals.

Prior to joining Conrad Miami, Thevenet worked, since 2007, as director of sales and marketing at the Conrad Indianapolis, in Indiana. He began his career with InterContinental Hotels in Paris, France, and later moved to Montreal to begin his service with the Hilton Worldwide family. In October 1999, he moved to Chicago as sales manager at the Drake hotel, and in 2001, he became the hotel’s assistant director of sales. From 2002 to 2007, Thevenet took the helm as director of sales business travel and leisure for several Chicago properties including Hilton Chicago, Hilton O’Hare, Conrad Chicago, and Palmer House.

“Philippe has extensive experience and a proven track record of success directing sales and marketing activities at Hilton hotels, and we are proud to have a professional of his caliber join our team,” said Martin Wormull, general manager of Conrad Miami. “He is a motivated leader with extensive experience in planning, implementation and follow-through to exceed a hotel’s sales, financial, and operational plans.
