Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Historic Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort defines the cultured Caribbean flavor of Key West, Florida, from its stately royal palm-lined entryway to its atmospheric tropical hardwood and stucco lobby. Built in 1920 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the AAA Four Diamond Award–winning property features 311 guest rooms, including 69 suites. All brim with amenities ranging from in-room refrigerators and Nespresso machines to LCD TVs, iPod docking stations, and wireless Internet access. Most also feature private balconies with panoramic views of the bottle-green Atlantic Ocean and the largest private beach on the island.
Meeting planners appreciate Casa Marina’s dozen event rooms and 11,000 square feet of flexible space, including the Keys Ballroom and four outdoor venues that accommodate 200 guests. All meeting rooms, along with public areas, feature high-speed Internet access. A business center with copy and fax services, airport shuttle service, and on-site catering further support the seamless flow of events. The Casa’s sister property, The Reach, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, offers an additional 150 guest rooms and 4,706 of indoor meeting space.
Favorite downtime diversions often begin with sunbathing on the 1,100 feet of private beach, diving America’s only living barrier reef, or windsurfing, Jet Skiing, or parasailing offshore. Guests can work out at the fitness facility and wind down at Spa al Maré—with a massage on the beach, perhaps—then venture out to find the tropical nightlife of colorful Duval Street.
