I want to take a moment to let you know what a wonderful time I had at the Casa Madrona Spa & Hotel in Sausalito, CA. I was the meeting planner for this very important event.
Roger Dryden was the first person I met with back in June. He gave me a complete tour of the hotel. He even showed me the incredible suite knowing I was not going to book it....this time! I was sold! I worked with Suzanne Cullen for the meals and Angelina Briones for the rooms. Angelina helped me book 11 rooms and the conference rooms. She was very easy to work with and handled all my crazy emails with a smile (I could feel it).
Suzanne was great to work with on the menu options. She helped me make some great selections and came up with some good solutions. The food was delicious. Lalo was my event contact for the reception the evening before the meeting, and the breakfast, lunch and breaks the following day. He did a wonderful job of setting up the rooms and took great care in the details. He checked on us often and was a delight. He even took back a bowl of soup because we were running late and he knew it would be cold.....I did not ask him to do that, he just knows the details of his job and what a difference they make.
I also worked with Lionel, the bellman a few times. He was so helpful and fun. He brought me room service one evening and helped me figure out the bag drops that got a little confused. I don't have to say how important it is for a meeting to go well.No one will notice if it is going well, but attendees always notice what is going wrong. The internet worked and the room temperature was perfect. Everyone loved their rooms and the food.
