Ojeda to Lead Culinary Program at Famed Luxury Resort and Residence Club in Upper Napa Valley
June 21, 2011 - Auberge Resorts’ award-winning Calistoga Ranch in the Napa Valley announced today Christian Ojeda as the new Executive Chef of its exclusive Lakehouse restaurant. As Executive Chef, Ojeda will lead the culinary team at Calistoga Ranch with his distinctive blend of culinary expertise.

Ojeda previously served as Master Cook at Fleur de Lys and Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas and as the Executive Sous Chef at Santa Fe’s award-winning Geronimo. Most recently, Ojeda served as Chef de Cuisine at Auberge Resorts’ Encantado Resort and Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

His artfully prepared dishes at the Lakehouse restaurant are crafted with fresh, local and organic produce and pay tribute to the area’s rustic yet sophisticated flavors. Celebrating the rich culture of food and wine for which Napa Valley is known, Ojeda’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are built on a “land to table” philosophy with signature items like farm fresh eggs, prawn tacos, duck confit and bacon wrapped veal loin.

(July 2, 2008) " Auberge Resorts, operators of Calistoga Ranch, the award-winning Napa Valley resort and lodging club, announced the appointment of Coni Thornburg as General Manager. In her new position, Thornburg will oversee all operations for the 46-room resort including a restaurant and full-service spa, and the 27 owner lodges all situated on a 157-acre site marked by ancient oaks, majestic hills, a rock-hewn stream and private lake.

Most recently, Thornburg served as General Manager of The Lodge at Pebble Beach, a position she assumed after six years as General Manager of Hotel Teatro, the premier boutique hotel in Denver, Colo. Prior to that, Thornburg was Director of Food & Beverage for 10 years at the acclaimed Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, Colo., where she played a key role in helping the hotel achieve Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond Status. A native of Montana, Thornburg gained much of her formative background with the Four Seasons Hotels, primarily at their property in Seattle, Wash.
