Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
The Waldorf Astoria Panama brought a new level of luxury to Panama when it opened its doors in March 2013. The building, at the intersection of Forty-Seventh and Uruguay streets, enjoys proximity to Panama City’s central banking and business districts, an array of neighborhood bars and restaurants, and the Panama Canal, just ten minutes away. The canal, currently undergoing a $5.25 billion expansion, will soon allow a tremendously greater volume of business to pass through its 50-mile-long waterway. The Waldorf Astoria itself counts among the many signs of boundless prosperity for Panama City on the near horizon.
Guests staying in the 130 deluxe guest rooms and 118 suites and residences rest, relax, and rejuvenate at a 2,000-square-foot fitness center, complete with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment; the Waldorf Astoria Spa, which features Babor products; an outdoor pool, and numerous food and beverage outlets. Options include Brio Brasserie for modern international dishes, Ginger Restaurant, Sushi Bar & Lounge, the Bungalow Terrace & Pool Bar, and Peacock Alley—a place to meet and socialize with friends and colleagues.
Inside, more than 3,700 square feet of meeting space serves groups in four state-of-the-art rooms. Like the rest of the hotel, these rooms offer the latest in communications and audiovisual technology—all complemented by True Waldorf Service, which personalizes the details of every guest’s stay.
