Newsom will oversee Sea Island's banquets, catering, room service operations and four restaurant outlets, including the Mobil Five-Star Georgian Room.
In his 22-year career, Newsom has served in management positions for luxury hotels and resorts from Tucson to the Grand Bahamas. Prior to directing catering and convention services at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Newsom served in the food and beverage departments at Westin & Sheraton Grand Bahama Island at Our Lucaya Resort in Freeport; The Westin Westminster Hotel in Westminster, Colorado; Denver's Brown Palace Hotel; the MGM Mirage/ Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Biloxi, Mississippi; and, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona.
