Beverly Hills, Calif. – May 27, 2014 – The Beverly Hilton has been selected by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for a third consecutive year to host the annual Daytime Emmy® Awards. Recognizing outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the 2013 calendar year, the Daytime Emmy® Awards attract the biggest names in daytime television. The event will take place in the hotel’s famed International Ballroom on June 22.

Highlights of the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards will include the presentation of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Russ Morash, the producer and director of the historic, “The French Chef,” with Julia Child and the creator of “This Old House” and many other iconic public television programs. This event will also mark the first year for two new award categories -- “Entertainment News,” that honors programs covering the entertainment industry with a focus on human interest, popular culture and celebrity gossip and interviews, as well as “Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series,” available for any Daytime Drama series which has less than 35 original episodes in the 2013 calendar year.
