NAPLES, Fla. - With a continued commitment to creating memorable culinary experiences for all guests and strengthening his internal team, Waldorf Astoria Naples General Manager Hunter Hansen announced two recent promotions; Restaurant Chef, Jose Rivera and Assistant Director of Revenue Management, Tatjana Faulkenbury.
Rivera has served as the hotel's Sous Chef since February 2011. His 20-year experience also includes supervisory positions at Hyatt and Loews as well as culinary experience with Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Café.
Rivera's diverse background and studies at the Walt Disney Center for Culinary Arts helped shape his management style. "From all of my experience in kitchen operations to what my grandmother taught me about cooking during my younger years, I look forward to applying what I have learned to my new role."
Faulkenbury joined the Waldorf Astoria Naples team in April and has been with Hilton Worldwide since 2000 when she was hired as a room's division trainee at Hilton Charlotte City Center. She was promoted to revenue manager in 2005 and then transferred to the revenue management consolidated center in Dallas where she also worked as a revenue manager gaining experience in multiple markets and various Hilton brands. Most recently, Faulkenbury resided in Germany where she was responsible for revenue for two Hilton hotels in Munich and one Hilton hotel in Nuremberg.
Faulkenbury said she is excited about her new role. "I jumped at the chance to move back to the United States because Southwest Florida is a great place to live for a running, biking and swimming enthusiast like me," said Faulkenbury. "I look forward to continuing to help our internal team make the right decisions about revenue each and every day."
"We are always excited to be able to promote from within," said Hansen. "Both Jose and Tatjana always have a smile on their faces and always go the extra mile for our guests. We look forward to them continuing to shape and elevate the Waldorf Astoria Naples guest experience both externally and internally."
