Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
The rolling hills of Ohio’s Amish country sets a tranquil backdrop for corporate retreats, celebrations, and gatherings at The Inn at Honey Run. Nature trails lace through its rolling 50-acre woodland setting in Millersburg, just two hours outside of Cleveland and Columbus. Architecture inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright suits the landscape perfectly, and provides fluid, open spaces with natural light for productive meetings. Just 40 guest rooms, suites, and cottages—all individually decorated—further celebrate the natural setting, while instilling the heights of comfort.
When not engaged in meetings, groups may dine on creative cuisine and fine wine at Tarragon, take part in group cooking demonstrations, tour the Amish country, play golf on two nearby courses, or simply relish the abundance of woodland wildlife right outside their windows.

The Inn at Honey Run Meeting Venue Honored with Elite Gold Certification
Posted July 19, 2013
As a certified gold member of Elite Meetings International, The Inn at Honey Run joins the ranks of North America’s top properties for group meetings and events.
Millersburg, OH USA – The Inn at Honey Run, a luxury venue for corporate meetings and incentive travel, today announced it will be joining Elite Meetings International (EMI) as a certified gold venue. EMI is an innovative company that offers solutions to assist top planners in researching the best properties for meetings and incentives throughout North America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe.
Elite Gold status is granted by EMI’s Elite Meetings Advisory Board, a distinguished body comprised of meeting professionals and hospitality executives. The board considers the resorts and hotels based on a demonstrated commitment to providing an exceptional group experience. A number of criteria factor into the advisory board’s assessment, including the arrival experience, accommodations, meeting and event facilities, activity options, food and beverage, and most importantly, service.
“Our goal in establishing Elite Gold Certification is to offer a peer-rated resource that supports meeting planners in recognizing properties whose high level of facilities, service and amenities place them among the best hotels nationwide,” said Kelly Foy, CEO of Elite Meetings. “We’re proud to offer Elite Gold Certified status to The Inn at Honey Run. The Inn at Honey Run Announces Construction Plans for Additional Meeting Space to Meet Corporate Demand

New Meeting Venue Scheduled for 2014 Enhances Group Experiences
Millersburg, OH USA – The Inn at Honey Run, a luxury resort property in Ohio’s Amish country, today announced the opening of its new Woodland room, a fourth meeting venue at the property. This will be the sixth meeting venue option, and the fourth indoor venue for the property. The announcement comes amidst a record high demand for corporate meeting spaces, especially alternative meeting spaces with scenic forest views and natural light.
Corporate incentive travel and business meetings are in high demand in Ohio’s Amish country, the state’s second most popular tourist destination according to the Ohio Tourism Board. Meeting planning trends are now experiencing a turn towards privately-owned, destination locations that still provide easy access for travelers. The Inn at Honey Run’s central location between Cleveland and Columbus has led to the increase in group bookings.
“Our brand offers something entirely unique to corporate groups,” said Jason Nies, Proprietor at The Inn at Honey Run. “It is the best of both worlds. Groups receive the exceptional service and culinary experiences of the city, but can enjoy these perks within the intimacy and beauty of our boutique inn. Our new Woodland room will build upon this foundation by increasing the level of intimacy experienced during a group event and providing additional access to the aesthetic pleasures of our countryside.”
