MIAMI, Fla. – April 5, 2012 – Conrad Miami, located in Miami’s business and financial district, today announced the appointment of Matthew Tobin as new director of sales and groups and Patricia Pautynsky as sales manager of the 203-room luxury hotel. Both Tobin and Pautynsky will report to Philippe Thevenet, the hotels director of sales and marketing and begin their assignments effective immediately.

Matthew Tobin has been named associate director of sales and brings more than seven years of experience in the hospitality industry. He will oversee the sales efforts for the hotel in domestic pharmaceuticals, medical and health services, sports, and the Northeast market. Prior to joining Conrad Miami, Tobin oversaw national sales for luxury hotels in New York and Miami, acquiring significant expertise in pharmaceutical and financial client accounts throughout the East Coast. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in hospitality management in 2005 from Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Fla.
Patricia Pautynsky has been named group sales manager and brings eight years of experience as a member of luxury hotel sales teams. Pautynsky will oversee primarily the local group market as well as the DC, VA and MD area. Before joining Conrad Miami, Pautynsky worked as part of sales teams at a variety of hotels in South Florida, exceeding group markets annual sales quotas by up to 155 percent and securing significant new accounts that resulted in measurable growth for the properties. She began her career as event and conference services manager and transitioned to the sales side of hospitality. Pautynsky earned a bachelor’s degree in 2001 in hospitality management from Florida International University, in Miami.
