The Top 10 highest-ranked GreenLeaders hotels in the U.S. were based on the properties that have achieved “Platinum” status in the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program, and have proven to be the most popular with travelers according to the TripAdvisor Popularity Index. These results of came from TripAdvisor’s eco-travel survey, which had been completed by more than 2,100 U.S. respondents.
The TripAdvisor Greenleaders Program helps travelers identify properties that are committed to green practices. TripAdvisor GreenLeaders have met a set of environmental standards that were developed for TripAdvisor in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® program, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the United Nations Environment Programme.
