The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center today announced it will expand its conference space with a 15,000-square-foot ballroom complimented by 5,000 square feet of pre-function space and a 5,500-square-foot banquet kitchen in the newly approved Robert B. Rowling Hall.
Rowling Hall will be a 458,000-square-foot building located across the street from the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. The new facilities will be accessible to the current building by an underground connection. Similar to the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center, Rowling Hall will be built with a focus on sustainability.
“This expansion will provide more meeting space for our customers and the opportunity to book bigger groups who want personalized service,” said Keith Purcell, Director of Sales and Marketing at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. “Our role in fostering education and impacting business is important to us, and we are very excited about our expansion and continued partnership with The University of Texas.”
Rowling Hall, approved by The University of Texas Board of Regents on May 15, 2014, will also house the Red McCombs School of Business Texas MBA and Texas MSTC programs and the Texas Executive Education programs. It was designed by Ennead Architects and Jacobs Engineering, and DPR will manage the construction. Rowling Hall is projected to break ground in December 2014 and projected to open in early 2017. The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center has begun booking meetings and events for the new space.
“The addition of the new 15,000-square-foot-ballroom will solidify the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center’s position as the hotel of choice for travelers and conference attendees in the City of Austin,” said Thomas Gilligan, dean of the McCombs School of Business.
