GROUP BUSINESS, EDUCATION, AND NETWORKING HEADLINE THE FALL 2008 ELITE MEETINGS ALLIANCE
Powerful Combination Drives Successful Outcome
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., September 23, 2008—The Fall 2008 Elite Meetings Alliance held September 7-9, in Bolton Landing, New York, earned rave reviews from participants for its balance of one-on-one business meetings, educational seminars, high-quality speakers and entertainers, and social gatherings that fostered new relationships.

The invitation-only three-day affair, held at The Sagamore on Lake George, brought together 110 of the industry’s top planning professionals and representatives from Elite Certified hotels in the eastern U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico.

The bulk of the three-day agenda was committed to one-on-one meetings between the attending hoteliers and corporate, association, and incentive planners. The format again received praise from participants like Madelyn Foxworthy of ATIS (Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions), who said, "Having the ability to meet one-on-one with the hotels was just perfect, so much different than a trade show format." Janet Solitario, National Sales Manager of Trump International Beach Resort agreed, saying, "I think that it was an excellent show! I am suggesting to my resort that we become a regular attendee. I returned home with five potential leads. The clients were truly qualified and came to the meeting with business that they were looking to book."

Highly respected speakers and entertainers added highlights throughout the event. Motivational speaker, humorist, and artist Sam Glenn kicked off the event with an uplifting look at the importance and benefits of humor in daily life. On day two meetings technology expert, Corbin Ball, discussed technology trends in the meetings industry. Throughout the event, master of ceremonies, James P. Connolly, humorously held everyone's attention as he provided guidance throughout the three days.

A lobster bake on Lake George, lively after party, and a daylong Planner Forum, which convened before the event, rounded out the agenda.

Elite Meetings International CEO, Kelly Foy, said, “Everything I've heard from participants during and since the event lets me know that we've succeeded in our aim to create a winning environment for conducting business and developing great relationships."

The next semiannual Elite Meetings Alliance will take place May 3-5, 2009, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It will feature top properties from the western regions of Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Pacific, plus corporate, association, and incentive planners ready to book business in these regions.
