Elite Meetings International Releases Latest Edition of Elite Meetings Magazine
A One-of-a-Kind Resource Connecting Meeting Planners with Luxury Hotels and Resorts Across North America
Santa Barbara, CA – March 2008 – Elite Meetings International CEO and publisher, Kelly Foy, announces the release of the 2008 edition of Elite Meetings magazine. This second edition issue features over 100 of North America’s luxury and upscale properties for corporate meeting and incentive retreat planners, plus an additional 85 hotels and resorts in development that Elite Meetings International expects to approve and certify.

Highlights of the latest edition of Elite Meetings magazine include articles on how to host green meetings, team-building tips for meeting hosts, and a 12-month industry events calendar. All 145 properties featured in Elite Meetings magazine are approved by the Elite Meetings Advisory Board and have an average room rate over $250 per room per night. These “Elite Certified” properties are located all over North America, from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, to the Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort in Nayarit, Mexico. Diverse in more than just geography, the properties span every size and character-from the glitz and excitement of the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas to the charm and intimacy of the San Ysidro Ranch, a Rosewood Resort in the foothills of Santa Barbara, CA. Meeting planners using this comprehensive new resource can also be assured that all included properties share one thing in common: an emphasis on luxury.

“We’re very proud of this issue,” says Foy. “The breadth of properties we’ve included ensures that planners find a perfect fit for every event. It is a comprehensive resource for planners in search of the top venues for meetings and incentive travel.” Along with stories about the “Elite Certified” properties, the magazine gives important at-a-glance details relevant to planners, including room breakouts, high and low season rates, taxes, amenities, food and beverage averages, and airport proximity.

“Providing a service to meeting planners is of the utmost importance to us,” states Elite Meetings magazine editorial director, Susan Campbell. “When the magazine launched a year ago, we built it upon the recommendations of meeting planners. This, our second edition, continues in that tradition. Planners will find a familiar format with a few time-saving enhancements. We’re proud to offer a guide to luxury properties that’s not only useful but visually pleasing as well.”

The magazine’s print distribution includes 44,000 top decision-makers in the meetings, events, and incentives industry. Another new component this year is a bonus “green” distribution to 80,000 planners in the form of a digital e-zine. Digital copies of the magazine are available free of charge on EliteMeetings.com. Print editions can be ordered for $14.95 plus shipping and handing from the Web site as well.
