The Elite Meetings Alliance Goes to Naples, Florida
Naples Grande Resort & Club Set to Host Three-Day Conference for Top Industry Professionals
Santa Barbara, CA – June 2007 – The Elite Meetings Alliance heads east this fall, to Naples, Florida, and the hospitality of Naples Grande Resort & Club. Scheduled for September 9-11, 2007, the semiannual event will provide an efficient business forum for top corporate planning professionals and hoteliers representing high-end properties throughout the Caribbean and eastern United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The three-day event, hosted by Elite Meetings magazine and produced by meeting management partner Stratus Performance Group, will kick off on Sunday, September 9 at 7 p.m. with a reception for corporate planners. The agenda for the next two days revolves around a series of prescheduled 20-minute appointments between planners and hoteliers, punctuated with numerous informal networking opportunities that span a range of exciting activities, events, and an educational session eligible for CMP points.

“We’re happy to have a role in cultivating invaluable relationships between hoteliers and planners,” says Kelly Foy, publisher of Elite Meetings magazine, host of the event. “The feedback we’ve received from previous Alliances has been phenomenal and may explain why so many top industry players have already signed on to this fall’s event.”

On the planner side, those already committed to attending the event represent companies such as AAA, Aetna, Amcol Intl., Burton Group, Charles River Laboratories, Fidelity National Information Systems, Investors Bank & Trust, Symantec Corporation, Jackson National Life, DaimlerChrysler Financial Services, Kilpatrick Stockton, Lockheed Martin, Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America, Radian, Rain Bird Corporation, SYSCO, Symantec, The Gymboree Corporation, Verio a NTT Corporation, and many more.

On the hotelier side, the list includes The Cloister at Sea Island, The Equinox, The Greenbrier, Half Moon Resort, InterContinental Stephen F. Austin, Le Royal Méridien King Edward, The Omni Shoreham Hotel, Fairmont Mayakoba, The Peabody Memphis, Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa, The Sagamore, The Setai, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers, The Fairmont Southampton and St Regis Resort, Fort Lauderdale, among others. To qualify for participation in this fall’s Alliance, hotels and resorts must be located in eastern North America and receive the approval of the Elite Meetings Advisory Board.

“We look forward to hosting such a prominent group of corporate planners and hoteliers and showing them all that our new property has to offer,” says Frank Cavella, director of sales and marketing at Naples Grande Resort & Club. “We’re committed to providing them with a truly memorable experience.”

Naples Grande Resort & Club
A recent multimillion renovation transformed the resort, formerly The Registry Resort & Club, into a fashionable Naples Grande Resort & Club. The resort’s new stylish atmosphere mirrors the new contemporary face of its namesake city.
“We think it’s especially fitting to stage our upcoming event at Naples Grande,” says Foy. “The resort’s new dynamic energy and innovative spirit have created quite a buzz in the hospitality industry. That’s something we know a little bit about.”
