Elite Meetings International Partners with European Management Assistants (EUMA) to Facilitate Efficient Sourcing and Booking for Meetings and Events
Santa Barbara, Calif.: January 29, 2014—Elite Meetings International (EMI) announced a partnership with the European Management Assistants (EUMA), a membership organization of management support professionals founded in 1974. The organization supports the career goals of its members through training, conferences with expert speakers, and a quarterly publication, proActive.

The organization's membership consists of groups in 25 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

EUMA European Chairman Else-Britt Lundgren expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, "We appreciate that a top-level organization like EMI recognizes the potential of management assistants in the meetings and events segment, and understands the specific needs of these professionals, who juggle many tasks. EMI's senior regional director for Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Alda Egurrola-Wienke, has already participated several EUMA events, and will continue to do so in the future to ensure that EUMA members benefit from EMI's expertise on hotel sourcing. The partnership coincides with EUMA's support for the International Year of the Secretary and Assistant (IYOTSA 2014), as well as the organization's fortieth anniversary. EUMA will be supporting IYOTSA 2014 initiative to bring attention to the importance of management assistants to businesses around the world.
