Tucked away on New Hampshire's island of New Castle near Portsmouth, the 127-year-old Wentworth by the Sea, A Marriott Hotel & Spa adds a stately air to Atlantic coast conferences and events. Named to Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List in 2009, the 161-room hotel provides planners with a selection of three ballrooms, audiovisual assistance, an event team, and business center. In addition, high-level meetings unfold in the same historic boardroom where the Treaty of Portsmouth was drawn to end the Russo-Japanese War, leading to President Theodore Roosevelt's Nobel Peace Prize.
