Stretching 19 stories tall, W San Diego captures the essence of one of the most dynamic urban centers on the California coast. For instance, the newly refreshed lobby lounge, or Living Room, perfectly captures San Diego's mood of endless summer with a surf-inspired motif of bold prints, organic materials, and intimate interior cabanas. Meanwhile the famous sun, sand, and sea of San Diego Bay wait just a short, pleasant stroll away.
Ocean colors, bay window seats, and white furnishings lend a fresh, modern breeziness to the guest rooms. The Restaurant, the hotel's stylish eatery, specializes in contemporary cuisine prepared by Executive Chef John Garcia. Most dramatic of all, three tons of heated sand, white cabanas, and a pair of fire pits transform the second floor rooftop into a private beach—sunny by day, spectacular at sunset, and irresistible for drinks after work or parties at night.
The hotel also features Away Spa, Sweat fitness facility and Wet pool area, and more than a dozen areas of flexible meeting space. Totaling 12,879 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, the conference facilities adapt for groups of 10 to 200 participants. And the staff—with the W brand's Whatever/Whenever service philosophy—can arrange for anything from a last-minute board meeting to a Wish Workshop break to surfing lessons for the whole gang.
Planner Reviews
The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful. No matter what we wanted, they got it done in a timely manner and with a smile. They made my job so easy and made me look good.

Thanks to the W team for a spectacular job for our annual meeting. This was our 9th one and by far it was the best! I am hoping to come to San Diego for next year's meeting, too.
