Elite Overview

In April 2009, W Fort Lauderdale became the first U.S. W to open in a resort area rather than a city. With Florida surf and sand on one side and Intercoastal elegance on the other, the designers drew inspiration from feng shui principles to create a futuristic balance of earth elements, water, fire, and air. Metal rings suspended over the driveway symbolically withdraw negative energy and empty it into the sky.
The new-wave playground entertains with a Living Room instead of a lobby. Its Bliss Spa hosts a brownie buffet. And a third floor wading pool gives a clear view of everything from below. Like luxury and comfort in the 517 accommodations, style meets practicality at the conference center, where 11 meeting rooms expand on 5,500 square feet of space for celebration under the sun and stars.
