When W Boston opens September 30, 2009, guests will find themselves steps from the Schubert Theatre and a block from the Public Garden and Boston Common, where modern culture, shopping, and nightlife share the cobblestone streets of South Boston's Victorian-era Theatre District. The 25-story glass tower will house 235 guest rooms and 123 private residences along with a trendy bar and restaurant and W's signature Living Room lobby lounge, Bliss Spa, and fitness center Sweat.
Plans for the second floor include nearly 5,000 square feet of conference space comprised of a Great Room, five Studios, and generous prefunction areas. The W's cool, cosmopolitan style promises to bring a revolutionary touch of luxury to South Boston—convenient to the Seaport District's new Institute of Contemporary Art, newly renovated Boston Children's Museum, and state-of-the-art Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
