Three hundred acres of rolling hills and expansive meadows surround Twin Farms, an intimate five-star retreat in Barnard, Vermont, a 90-minute flight from New York City airports and an hour's plane ride from Boston. Once the home of novelist Sinclair Lewis, the restored 1930s estate prides itself on exquisite amenities and personalized attention. With 40 guests at most, a staff of 84 handles every whim.

Visitors settle into 20 accommodations, from cozy suites in the Main House to uniquely designed cottages sprawled across the property.
