Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Three hundred acres of rolling hills and expansive meadows surround Twin Farms, an intimate five-star retreat in Barnard, Vermont, a 90-minute flight from New York City airports and an hour's plane ride from Boston. Once the home of novelist Sinclair Lewis, the restored 1930s estate prides itself on exquisite amenities and personalized attention. With 40 guests at most, a staff of 84 handles every whim.
Visitors settle into 20 accommodations, from cozy suites in the Main House to uniquely designed cottages sprawled across the property. The Moroccan-inspired Meadow Cottage offers beautiful tile accents, a tentlike ceiling, and a charming nook for bathing, while the contemporary–style Studio features bright, art-clad living areas with views of the forest and marshland just outside.
With its inspirational setting, Twin Farms is ideal for all-inclusive business seminars, executive gatherings and incentive retreats alike. Inventive meeting venues accommodate groups of up to 40, and include The Lodge, the four suites at The Farm House, the Main House Dining Room and The Pub.
After hours, groups reinvigorate with golf, tennis, croquet, nature hikes, fly-fishing, cycle excursions, and skiing and snowshoeing. For those seeking to slow the pace, the Out of the Woods spa stands ready to pamper.
