The cliffs above the Sea of Cortez provide a stuning setting for The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos. Set at the tip of the Baja peninsula, the resort offers an architecturally stunning enclave whose design echoes the sea’s world-famous stone arch.
Throughout the event-planning process, groups benefit from the services of the resort’s dedicated conference professionals. Facilities include 10,285 square feet of indoor function space with Wi-Fi Internet access and sophisticated audiovisual capabilities. Three ballrooms accommodate a variety of group sizes: the Baja Ballroom for up to 490 with a spacious prefunction foyer; the Cactus Ballroom for up to 245 with access to the Business Center and Oasis Garden; and the Bugambilias Ballroom for up to 320 with the option of dividing into four.
Outdoor venues take full advantage of ocean views, with festive theme parties unfolding at the beach, pool deck, and seaside putting green. The Plaza Vista hosts final night celebrations for up 450, when groups often recognize their attendees with lighting projected onto the hotel itself. For a grand finale, fireworks shoot from an adjacent mountaintop. Add six restaurants and a relaxing spa on-site, plus Cabo’s legendary water sports, golf courses, shopping, and nightlife, and groups have a memorable south-of-the-border experience at their fingertips.

The Westin Los Cabos was a fantastic choice for our small sales incentive group (couples). Most evenings were planned for them and I utilized great on- site outdoor space to take advantage of the properties natural beauty. It is kept immaculate and the food and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend using the Royal Beach Club level for your VIPs and all your guest if you have an intimate group. The food and service is great, the breakfast filling, evening snacks and cocktails with the whale watching views are lovely as well. The service up there is impeccable, your people are made to feel very special and in the end the added expense to upgrade is a wash on the bottom line of your budget if they are expensing those type items to your part of the program cost anyway.

Los Cabos, Mexico (September 2, 2009) - The Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce today that the destination was spared significant impact from Hurricane Jimena. Hotels and resorts are fully operational and all tourism services throughout Los Cabos have resumed today.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Jimena was officially downgraded to Category 2 status overnight as it traveled in a northwest direction away from Los Cabos. Additionally, the Mexican government has discontinued the hurricane warning for the entire southern part of the Baja California peninsula, the location of the resort destination. Forecasters predict that Jimena will continue to weaken as it moves inland.
From the beginning, the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau was well prepared for the approach of Hurricane Jimena. The municipality of Los Cabos did not lose electricity throughout the duration of the storm and there have been no reports of injuries. Additionally, the San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD) has re-opened after flight operations were temporarily suspended yesterday as a precautionary measure. The Port of Los Cabos is scheduled to re-open today after 12:00PM MST.
"While we were well prepared for the storm, we are obviously very relieved that Hurricane Jimena passed us by," says Gonzalo Franyutti, President of the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau, "Now our guests can resume their vacations and our fine resorts services without further concern."
Known for it's world-class fishing, championship golf courses, luxurious spas, exciting eco-adventure, endless array of water sports and much more, Los Cabos has been experiencing a rise in demand in recent weeks as the economy
begins to show signs of recovery and is expecting to be the destination of choice for the upcoming fall and winter travel season. For more information on Los Cabos, please visit the official website at www.visitloscabos.travel.

Arrecifes Restaurant in a spectacular waterfront setting at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos deserves the awards it has garnered. Winner of the Four Star Diamond Award from the AAA for 1 year puts it in the same league as the North Americas finest restaurants offering creative cuisine, excellent service, and upscale surroundings. Only 3 percent of the over 27,000 restaurants approved by AAA achieve this prestigious distinction!
For fine dining, the AAA Four Diamond Award Winning Arrecifes offers a sophisticated menu complemented with live jazz music and a view overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Nestled in the rocks surrounding the resort, a dramatic entrance welcomes diners into an open, circular setting with views of the ocean. Executive Chef Mirko Cappas menu offers seafood creations from Baja California Lobster and glazed Pacific Red Snapper Fillet to marinated Seared Beef Tenderloin in Merlot Sauce and Rack of Lamb in fine herbs and pumpkin seed crust. Enjoy a pre-dinner martini at On the Rocks while searching the sky for stars or watching the waves crash along the rocks.
Situated off the main entrance to Arrecifes, the Asian Corner sushi bar prepares fresh items daily. Enjoy the signature dish, a spicy tuna roll with chipotle sauce while sipping a drink made from a selection of fine vodkas or gins.
