Those who prefer a more casual experience are invited to enjoy al fresco dining under the awning-covered TOPPERS Deck, a popular choice for cocktails or dinner when diners can watch the sun set in a sensational display over Nantucket Bay. Lunch and Sunday brunch at TOPPER'S are also a culinary adventure with a tapas-style menu featuring small samplings of different menu items. For even more casual dining at The Wauwinet, drinks and light fare are offered at TOPPERS Bar, or, with advance notice, the kitchen can arrange for a gourmet basket lunch for a picnic on the beach.

When the inns predecessor " Wauwinet House " opened in the mid-1800s, it was a restaurant serving "shore dinners" to patrons arriving by boat. Today, islanders and visitors staying elsewhere can enjoy TOPPER'S for lunch or dinner, traveling there by water aboard The Wauwinet Lady, a 26-passenger open launch. The one-hour cruise to The Wauwinet for dinner has an added benefit " cocktail service on board to The Wauwinet and a beautiful sunset on the return trip to town. The round-trip cruise is complimentary as long as the lunch or dinner reservation is honored.

TOPPER'S is open for daily for lunch, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Houseguests can enjoy an informal light meal in TOPPER'S Bar any time from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Room service is available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. In addition, houseguests can enjoy complimentary Early Riser's Coffee served in the library each morning from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., followed by a complimentary full breakfast in TOPPER'S or through room service from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sunday Brunch is served from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
