Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
An October 10, 2010, reopening marked a grand new era for the London Savoy. During a three-year hiatus for renovations, more than a thousand artisans brought back the Edwardian splendor and art deco sophistication of the past. Today, operating as The Savoy–a Fairmont Hotel, it reclaims more than 120 years of history while incorporating Fairmont's ultimate standard of comfort, convenience, and green initiatives.
Capped by a new glass-enclosed fitness gallery with pool, gym, and spa, the highlights include 12 individual rooms for groups of 4 to 440 people and 38 River accommodations with the same views of the Thames that inspired Whistler and Monet. The five bars and restaurants hint at the days of César Ritz and Auguste Escoffier, who wined and dined everyone from Sarah Bernhardt to King Edward VII at the Savoy.
