As the Northeast's only private-island meeting facility, The Sagamore promises a tranquil backdrop for gatherings in the heart of New York's Adirondack Mountains. The 70- acre island on Lake George brims with recreational opportunities, luxury lodgings, and state-of- the-art meeting facilities.

Accommodations range from the colonial-revival style rooms and suites in the Historic Hotel to Adirondack-style accommodations in seven lakeside lodges. Ten bilevel suites and a boardroom occupy the self-contained Hermitage—originally a nineteenth-century carriage house and today, an ideal executive retreat. Larger groups assemble in the resort's other meeting facilities: eight rooms in the full-service Conference Center, seven rooms in the Historic Hotel and a seasonal outdoor terrace.

With a total of over 26,000 square feet of indoor function space, The Sagamore offers the most comprehensive facilities in upstate New York. An additional 20,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space and a full slate of recreational activities allow groups to make the most of the resort's four-season beauty. Groups develop communication and leadership skills through organized hikes and expertly designed orienteering excursions. Memorable relationships are built during activities that range from fishing charters, culinary competitions, and tennis to golf at The Sagamore golf club. Wintertime brings the opportunity to head to nearby Gore and West Mountains for downhill and cross-country skiing.

Others prefer the more relaxed offerings found at the Sagamore Spa. Dining highlights every stay at the resort, where groups enjoy anything from a formal banquet to a casual cookout to a dinner cruise aboard a replicated nineteenth-century touring boat called The Morgan.

This property has been great. My only concern is that the staff doesn't seem to be aware of the activities going on within the hotel.

The Sagamore was a great host for my client's convention. All the attendees were impressed by the service level and by the beauty of the property and surrounding area.

It's been 10 years since I had a group here so I am looking forward to EMA's event this coming weekend. My group came in early fall and was very pleased. We had multiple activities arranged the day we arrived and we were caught off guard with a sudden rain storm. The flexibility of the staff in charge of the events and rearranging our group was impressive..
