Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel welcomes groups to a $145-million restoration of a New Orleans legend. Born in 1893, the block-long hotel offers more than 60,000 square feet of modern meeting space. Three flexible ballrooms host gatherings of up to 2,500 participants, along with 23 individual conference rooms and the legendary Blue Room—showcase for everyone from Ethel Merman to Sonny and Cher between 1930 and the 1960s.
A celebrated guest in 1957 further secured the hotel’s iconic status when the entire top floor became the temporary home for Elvis Presley and crew while filming King Creole. Today, the 504 guest rooms, including 125 suites, combine the glamour and grandeur of the past with the latest in high-end amenities. Standard appointments include modern must-haves like flat-screen TVs, high-speed Internet access, and high-thread-count sheets. VIPs with entertaining on their agenda might opt for one of the Waldorf Suites, which come complete with sumptuous seating areas, dining rooms, and wet bars.
When not in session, group members can unwind with treatments at the Guerlain Spa, workouts at the state-of-the-art fitness center, or laps in the pool. Six bars and restaurants on-site allow guests to explore the city’s culinary and cultural traditions. Or, guests can experience the sights, sounds, and Old World charm of the French Quarter, just a block away.
