The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica crowns Jamaica’s historic Rose Hall Plantation, where it reflects the colonial grandeur of an earlier era along with the AAA five-diamond standard of today. While lush tropical mountains paint an emerald backdrop for the former sugar plantation, views of the sea from the lobby, beach, restaurants, and many of the guest rooms and suites steal the show, especially at sunset. Sumptuous fabrics, marble, and mahogany wrap the interiors, tastefully blended with fresh Caribbean colors.

Meeting planners face one main question: indoors or out? For the former, a total 16,745 square feet of function space provides five flexible rooms centered on the 10,800-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Another 5,000 square feet of white-sand beach, lawn, and terrace wait outside—plus the restored Rose Hall Great House a mile up the road.

Five food and beverage outlets furnish a wide variety of moods and menus for delegates between business and banquets. Guests can sample anything from indoor or outdoor Mediterranean or Caribbean cuisine to a lively taste of grilled down-home Jamaica on the beach. Recreational options span an even wider choice, from ocean sports and spa going to tennis to golf at three of the north shore’s finest courses: Half Moon, Cinnamon Hill, and The Ritz-Carlton’s own White Witch Golf Course, just a ten-minute shuttle ride away.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Rose Hall, Jamaica Introduces New Island-Inspired and Theraputic Treatments
Posted 13 Jul, 2009 by Concierge Elite
Rose Hall, Jamaica - The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Rose Hall has introduced new three new island-inspired and therapeutic treatments to provide the full destination spa experience sought by our discerning guests. The newly added treatments incorporate the five Chinese elements of Fire, Water, Wood, Earth and Metal; healing properties of herbal tea infused with Valerian passion flower and St. John's Wort; and the relaxing effects of 100% natural sea sells - ingredients used to heal and rejuvenate.

The Bamboo Massage - Experience the latest innovation in the health spa industry, designed to create a sense-of-place Spa experience. This 50-minute island-inspired treatment uses various lengths of bamboo shoots to apply pressure to specific therapeutic points on the body. Using bamboo, spa therapists can penetrate body tissue four times more deeply than with their hands, leaving guests completely stress-free. Bamboo incorporates the five Chinese elements of Fire, Water, Wood, Earth and Metal, used to bring about balance and harmony in the body.

Shell Massage - Four 100% natural Tiger Clam sea shells filled with dried kelp and algae are activated and deeply heated to provide 50 or 80 minutes of an invigorating deep tissue, full body massage. The constant smooth texture of the heated shells provides a warm healing tranquility to the body, aiding in the relaxation of muscles.

Drift to Sleep - "Drift to sleep" is a specialized journey designed to promote sleep at a deep state of sub-consciousness. This ultimate relaxation therapy is designed for an over-active mind or a sleep-deprived individual who has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep.

The ritual begins with an Aromatherapy milk bath where the body is submerged into a cloud of soothing bubbles, then cleaned and warmed. Sip aromatic tea, infused with relaxing herbs including chamomile, valerian, passion flower and St. John's Wort to assist in slowing the body's internal rhythms.

Experience a peaceful body massage utilizing warm Aromatherapy oils, Reiki, Cranial Sacral holds, lymphatic drainage and other polarity techniques specialized to transition guests into the alpha state of sleep.

Sleep therapists will then allow 30 minutes of rest on a warmed, oversized massage table covered with a down duvet. After 120 minutes of pampering, awaken refreshed, renewed and ready to take on the remainder of the day.
