The Peninsula New York combines the best of three worlds for top-level meetings. It unites the legendary service standard of the first Peninsula Hotel in Kong Kong, contemporary elegance with accents of art nouveau Paris, and a central location in midtown Manhattan.

Delegates gather in six salons on the third floor of the 23-story Beaux-Arts landmark. Renovated in fall 2009, the rooms incorporate the latest technology as well as luxuriously upholstered wall coverings, Murano glass chandeliers, and sleek stone floors. The staff specializes in executive meetings of all kinds, whether calling for multiple seating arrangements, audiovisual aids, or catering throughout the day. Readers of Travel + Leisure named The Peninsula New York the best business hotel in the city; Gourmet magazine ranked it among the top three hotels for business in all of North America.

Along with fresh, contemporary American cuisine at the restaurant Fives, and newly renovated accommodations, guests enjoy the time-honored tradition of afternoon tea or cocktails at the Gotham Lounge—renowned as a classic place for deal making in the city. In contrast to the lounge’s sequestered interior mood, commanding views of Manhattan highlight the open-air feel of the glass-enclosed pool at the spa. The spa, pool, and fitness center take up the top three floors, sharing them only with the penthouse level’s Salon de Ning, a glamorous new rooftop bar and terrace.

Corning Incorporated is a consistent client of the Peninsula New York for several reasons: outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and The Peninsula New York hotel rooms and meeting spaces are exactly what we expect for our executives. Our executives like the hotel rooms because they provide a quiet environment to relax in a busy city. We use the meeting space several times a year and find that the layout of the rooms and one floor location really is a benefit when managing several meetings.

We always look forward to our visits to the Peninsula where we feel comfortable and know that we are working with a world-class organization that will do anything to help make sure our time at the Peninsula is fulfilling. From Joe, who meets us at the front entrance, to Roly, who helps us with the room configurations, the entire Peninsula New York team makes us feel like we are one team working together to make our meetings successful.

THE PENINSULA NEW YORK IS AWARDED THE 2010 FORBES FIVE STAR RATING
AND AAA FIVE-DIAMOND RATING

The Peninsula Spa by ESPA also receives coveted Forbes Five Star Rating

The Peninsula New York was honored with the 2010 Forbes Five Star Award for both the hotel and
spa by Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide. The hotel is one of only six Five Star
properties in New York City. The Peninsula Spa by ESPA, which opened in January 2009, is one of
only two Five Star-rated spas in the city. The Peninsula New York also received the AAA Five-
Diamond rating for the eleventh consecutive year.

The hotel's general manager, Robert Rechtermann, commented, "We are delighted that both our
hotel and spa were recognized with a Five Star and Five-Diamond rating," said Robert
Rechtermann, General Manager of The Peninsula New York. "Our team has worked extremely
hard to achieve these awards, and to provide a consistent level of exemplary service for our guests."
Forbes Travel Guide's ratings process is based on more than 750 standardized criteria for hotels,
making it the most rigorous and comprehensive in the industry. The process begins with a facility
inspection that considers every aspect of the property, including its overall cleanliness, condition
and location.

The AAA Diamond ratings process covers the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean,
and awards five diamond properties that that provide the ultimate in quality and service.
The Peninsula New York has undergone many exciting changes over the last year, beginning in
2008 with the debut of the chic new rooftop bar, Salon de Ning. The hotel then wowed guests with
the unveiling of the Peninsula Spa by ESPA in January 2009, followed by a refurbishment of
guestrooms and suites, lobby and food and beverage outlets. The hotel most recently renovated its
private event space, which completes the full-scale property renovation.

THE PENINSULA NEW YORK CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

On December 3, 1988, The Peninsula Hotels parent company, The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, established its U.S. Peninsula flagship when it purchased the 23-storey Beaux-Arts landmark building ideally situated on the corner of 55th street and 5th Avenue in New York City. At that time, The Peninsula New York was one of the first Asia-based hotel brands to establish itself in the United States, and the property strived to follow in the footsteps of the hotel groups Grand Old Lady, The Peninsula Hong Kong, by providing luxurious comfort combined with exceptional,
personalized service.

In 1998, a sweeping reconstruction project orchestrated by the architects Brennan, Beer, Gorman and the design firm of Hirsch Bedner Associates, updated The Peninsula New Yorks ambiance, seamlessly merging contemporary fabrics, furnishings and technology with the many classical design elements already present in the hotel.

As the hotel celebrates its 20th Anniversary, it continues to enjoy success as one of the most desirable luxury hotel properties in New York, and was recently named the Best Business Hotel in New York by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.

An Exciting Rooftop Renovation The Peninsula New York continues its tradition of excellence by embarking on a dramatic
renovation of the top three levels of the luxury landmark building, which comprises the Peninsula Spa, fitness facility, pool and rooftop bar & terraces.

The 35,000 square foot Spa, located on the 21st and 22nd floor of the hotel, will receive a complete transformation, featuring 12 new treatment rooms, including one spacious couples suite, relaxation lounges, and mens and womens locker facilities. A comprehensive menu of treatments will be designed by ESPA, the international spa consultancy, which provides a range of consulting and management services for The Peninsula Hotels spas in Asia and the United States. The Peninsula Spa by ESPA will debut in October 2008

The fitness facility will be outfitted with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight training equipment, including a studio for yoga and aerobic classes. The pool will also be refurbished, providing a rooftop oasis for hotel and spa guests.

The design team for the spa project is Alexandra Champalimaud from Champalimaud & Associates (ACA). The projects architectural team is spearheaded by Stonehill & Taylor, a full-service architectural and design firm based in Manhattan.

The roof-top bar, formerly The Pen-Top Bar & Terrace, will be renovated and will feature a new Asian-inspired design concept. The stylish outdoor terraces and intimate indoor bar will offer a romantic and glamorous new experience for guests. The rooftop bar will re-open in May 2008. A renovation of several guestroom floors will also commence in 2008, comprising a new design scheme to be introduced to all guestrooms over the next two years.

A 23-story, 1905 landmark building, The Peninsula New York features 185 spacious and luxurious guest rooms and 54 suites, decorated in a classic, contemporary style with art nouveau accents. The property was recently named the Best Business Hotel in New York by Travel + Leisure.
