The award-winning Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel announced today that it will unveil its fully redesigned Roof Garden in May, just in time for summer. Beverly Hills based Cheryl Rowley Design, whose luxury hotel projects have been featured in Architectural Digest and Travel + Leisure, is overseeing the $4-million renovation. The new space, which features a swimming pool, outdoor bar and dining area, reflects Rowleys vision of a refined resort oasis tucked away
at this iconic hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills.

Palm trees, jasmine, wisteria and other lush flowering plants will form a Living Wall backdrop for the new Roof Garden, which will offer panoramic views that extend from the Hollywood Sign to the Pacific Ocean. Poolside guests will be treated to the attentive service they might expect at a five-star beach resort in the Caribbean"including such complimentary extras as chilled towels scented with lemon verbena, smoothies and fresh-fruit skewers.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills 60-foot swimming pool and Jacuzzi will be surrounded by heated limestone tiles and flanked by a dozen spacious guest cabanas furnished with JANUS et Cies new Azimuth line of aluminum-and-teak outdoor furniture. The cabanas will feature 24-inch flat-screen TVs, private safes, ceiling fans and elegant white draperies and blinds for privacy. Wi-fi, plug-ins, phones and faxes will be available for guests who want to turn their cabana into a private high-tech mini office. Guests who wish to be pampered will be able to pull the curtains and turn their cabana into a private mini spa, choosing from a special menu of spa treatments such as facials for nighttime renewal and sensual couples massages.

We are delighted to offer our guests this fabulous new outdoor space where they can enjoy cocktails and dining, spa services or simply relax, said Offer Nissenbaum, the new Managing Director of The Peninsula Beverly Hills. With its
dramatic skyline views, we expect the Roof Garden to become a popular meeting, entertainment and private-party destination day and night"not just for hotel guests but for local residents as well.

Adjacent to the pool-and-cabana terrace, the bar and patio area will have a dynamic new vibe. The stylish teak-topped bar will serve signature cocktails such as fresh-made white peach martinis and mojitos, along with a wide selection of premium tequilas and boutique wines by the glass. The welcoming fire pit will be an especially lively gathering spot for drinks on star-lit nights.

Guests will be able to dine al fresco day and night on the patio or in the intimate dining alcove. The new Roof Garden menu will feature lighter Naturally Peninsula selections such as watermelon and cherry-tomato soup, snapper ceviche with tostones and nori-wrapped ahi tuna with crispy bamboo-scented rice. A chef will be on hand to grill steaks, fresh fish and poultry to order on the new outdoor grill.
