Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Meeting planners work with a vast array of options for mixing business and pleasure at The Mirage. The excitement begins at the hotel’s entrance on the Las Vegas Strip, where palm trees tower 60 feet above pools and waterfalls in a tropical rain forest fantasy. A 90-foot-tall volcano “erupts” nightly, every hour on the hour, shooting fireballs to the accompaniment of music by Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain.
Inside, the 170,000 square feet of contiguous meeting space mirrors the overall theme with authentic grass cloth wall coverings, intricate
millwork, and posh silk fabrics. The venues range from an executive boardroom for 24 delegates to a 90,000-square-foot event hall for up
to 8,650. Features ensuring efficiency range from five registration desks to supremely flexible room sizes, service-oriented technicians,
an on-site production company, extensive service corridors, and a 10,000-square-foot banquet kitchen.
Incentives wait around every corner, perhaps most notably in the vast casino and legendary showrooms. In the pool area, the tropical
theme encompasses two pools and islands, multiple lagoons, waterfalls, and private cabanas. Visitors might also indulge at the spa, shop
the designer boutiques, dine at 14 restaurants, party at 11 bars and nightclubs, or pursue a myriad of other passions—all before closing a deal in the boardroom or retiring to a choice of 3,044 guest rooms, suites, and villas.
Planner Reviews
From our planner community
Overall Rating: 10.0/10
The sales staff and my direct meeting contact were phenomenal. So often hotels book you and then pass you on. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who's had customer service issues in the past stay at The Mirage. I know I'll put my groups here again.

MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS MOBILE APP SERVICES TO GOOGLE'S ANDROID & RIM'S BLACKBERRY OPERATING SYSTEMS
Posted February 3, 2011
Twelve Free Las Vegas Resort & Entertainment Apps Now Available on Additional Smartphones
LAS VEGAS - February 1, 2011 - MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM; www.mgmresorts.com) recently launched 12 free applications on Google's Android and is set to launch them on Research In Motion's BlackBerry OS in March. Previously only available on iTunes, the expansion into additional operating systems allows MGM Resorts International to deliver new ways to explore its Las Vegas hotels and attractions for a broader customer base.
"We've created a dynamic new way to engage our guests with a convenient information and reservation system and the response on iTunes so far has been incredible with more than 200,000 downloads," said Scott Voeller, Vice President of Brand Strategy and Advertising for MGM Resorts. "The overwhelming popularity of Smartphones initially motivated us to create the apps for iPhones, but the opportunity to reach more guests with exclusive offers and content and also receive their direct feedback encouraged us to expand to Android and BlackBerry users."
Feature-rich resort applications for ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus Circus in Las Vegas and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi deliver some of the world's most immersive interactive resort experiences currently available.
In addition to the resort apps, MGM Resorts and MacroView Labs developed "Entertainment of Las Vegas," an app expressly designed to deliver video previews, show times, event calendars, directions and the ability to purchase tickets to all of MGM Resorts' Las Vegas entertainment and attractions.
