With a legacy of Southern hospitality dating back to 1851, The Marshall House,a former Civil War hospital and Savannah, Georgia's first hotel, offers meeting professionals a storied setting for their own history-making meetings and events. A National Historic Building, the hotel underwent a $12-million restoration in 2001 and a more recent $1-million renovation to its 68 rooms and suites.
Accommodations include traditional furnishings with French walnut finish, pillow-top mattresses, a flat-screen television, high-speed Internet access, and original nineteenth-century fireplace as decoration. The Mary Marshall Suite also features a separate parlor, an antique claw-foot tub, and access to a semi-private veranda. Small groups enjoy use of the Leopold Adler Boardroom, two 1,200 square-foot venues for meetings or banquets, and the catering provided by 45 Bistro, the hotel's on-site destination for fine dining.
