The Langham, Boston faces Post Office Square a stone’s throw from Boston Harbor, the Freedom Trail, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The Langham’s business and social spaces range from 11 meeting rooms (as beautiful as they are functional) to the glittering Margaux Ballroom. View RSS Feed BOSTON " April 1, 2008 " The Langham, Boston is pleased to announce that as of March 1, the AAA four-diamond hotel is a 100 percent smoke-free environment. This new policy encompasses all indoor areas including guest rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants and public spaces.

In response to guest feedback and the increasing demand for non-smoking guest rooms, the hotel has been converted to a smoke-free facility. Any rooms that previously allowed smoking were thoroughly cleaned before the conversion on March 1.

Serge Denis, managing director of The Langham, Boston since 1993 said, The Langham, Boston cares about the well-being of our guests. In the last several years, we have completed several green initiatives in our Caf Fleuri restaurant. We believe moving to a smoke-free environment, continues to show that we are passionate about protecting our guests and our environment.

Should a guest does smoke inside of a guest room, they will be charged a $250 room recovery fee. The recovery fee is applied to the cost of a thorough and extensive room recovery and cleaning, so the room can returned to its previous smoke-free condition.

The reservations staff at The Langham, Boston has received positive feedback from guests since the transition. The hotel has designated a special area outside of the hotel in order to accommodate the needs of the guests who smoke.
