KIRKLAND, Wash. - June 22, 2009 - This month, the culinary team from Trellis announced the opening of their second dining destination, Front Porch at the Heathman. Located at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, the Front Porch focuses on small plates, designed to satisfy even the most adventurous palate. Completely outdoors, the Front Porch at the Heathman radiates a sidewalk caf ambiance. Comfortable couches, overstuffed chairs, lush foliage and live weekend music featuring a solo Spanish guitar player, all solidify the Front Porch, as Kirkland's most unique outdoor dining experience. The Front Porch at the Heathman is located at 220 Kirkland Avenue. Hours are 4pm to close, seven days a week June through October.

Unique Offerings
Executive chef Brian Scheehser promises something special for bold foodies looking for a unique culinary experience. "We wanted to offer items that are genuinely unique and not often seen on menus in a casually elegant setting," says Scheehser. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Brian Scheehser has nearly 30 years of culinary experience. Upon opening Trellis in October 2007, executive chef Scheehser has received regional and national attention from the culinary community for his farm to table cuisine. The prestigious award is given to a select group of hotels and restaurants based on standards of comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. Started in 1977, the AAA Diamond Awards are one of the oldest and most widely distributed rating standards in the travel industry.
