The Grand Del Mar

The Grand del mar combines the elegance of an old-world mediterranean estate, the modern luxury of a world-class resort, and the natural beauty of coastal Southern California. Guests enjoy a wealth of activities—including fine dining at Addison, one of the San Diego area's most celebrated restaurants.

Designed with the modern traveler in mind, the 249 guest rooms and expansive event space provide unlimited flexibility and comfort. Exquisite colors and architectural details, lush landscaping, and gracious terraces warmed by the year-round sun evoke an elegant yet relaxed ambience.

The Grand Del Mar's setting in a 4,100-acre canyon preserve comes with 37 miles of hiking trails. Popular team-building programs include native planting projects and guided nature quests. Each group has a dedicated conference professional to coordinate everything from team building to parties to meeting details.

The same setting inspired Tom Fazio, the acclaimed master of golf course design, in creating the 18 championship holes at The Grand Golf Club. Equally inspired by the surroundings, experts at The Spa seek to reconnect guests with elements of the earth through their personalized treatments. Other highlights include four heated pools, tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness
Planner Reviews
A beautiful location, supported by world-class service and attention to detail.... The Grand Del Mar exceeded my extremely high expectations with relative ease.

For years, luxury hotels were beige on beige on beige. This hotel is full of COLOR. It's fantastic. Even the ceilings are hand-stenciled. Service was exceptional. Granted, my group was there when many groups were canceling meetings so they were very happy to have us, but I got the feeling they just understand what hospitality is all about.
I almost didn't do a site there because the property is inland, and I thought if my people traveled to the west coast they should be on the water. I'm glad I looked, and I'm glad I booked!

This is one of the most beautiful properties I have ever seen. It is a new resort, but possesses all the charm of a classic, historic resort. From the location, to the luxurious accommodations, to the outstanding food, the Grand Del Mar is a first class destination.

Outstanding. Gorgeous facility which will wow even the most jaded resort attendee (or planner, for that matter). Rooms were absolutely top-notch, oversize and extraordinarily well-appointed. Spectacular grounds and views. I challenge any CEO or top exec group to not be impressed.
