Since its opening in 1769, The Equinox in Manchester Village, Vermont, has hosted a long list of notable guests, among them the fathers of the American Revolution and presidents such as Ulysses S. Grant and Theodore Roosevelt. The scenic surroundings—rolling pastures dotted with ancient oaks and fiery red maple trees in the lush foothills of Vermont’s Green Mountains—along with upscale amenities and myriad activities, make the AAA four-diamond escape a favorite destination for meetings and incentive retreats alike.

Situated on 1,300 acres, the resort, which includes The Equinox Hotel, The Charles Orvis Inn, and the 1811 House, features 183 guest rooms, suites, and town homes designed New England–style to reflect Vermont’s natural beauty and the property’s historic heritage.

Business guests at The Equinox also enjoy more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space. Ranging from intimate boardrooms to grand ballrooms, the resort’s 10 facilities can accommodate up to 300 people, and come furnished with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and wireless Internet access. Professional event planners help oversee all details of an event, from arranging in-house catering and banquets to organizing team-building activities like off-road driving, fly-fishing, and ropes courses.

Summer at the resort offers hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and play on the 18-hole Equinox Golf Course. During winter downhill skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and nearby snowmobiling top the activities list. Also on-site, The Spa at The Equinox promises rejuvenation any time of year with its extensive menu of treatments.

Even though it has undergone ownership changes between each of the three meetings I've done there, the staff has largely remained the same. That says a lot about a property. I am looking forward to seeing the results of the current renovation. The Pond Pavilion is a wonderful venue for meals.

The Equinox is one of the best partners I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The staff anticipated every need, which transpired into a flawless event. I truly enjoy working with such a talented, gracious and accommodating team and I’m treated like family every time I walk in the door.
