The only unfortunate thing was that there computer systems were down when we arrived and they were not able to check anyone in.

We just operated our Analyst Day at this hotel. The convention services staff where very good, attentive and had good ideas. It's is a good business hotel, nothing too fancy, one of the better hotels in this neighorhood and gets alot of business from Harvard. Their room rate is a bit high. They worked hard to accommodate all our last minute requests and were always very pleasant. The only issue was the wireless internet access which is a available, but not the best set-up.

Cambridge, MA - January 7, 2008 - Harvard Square's The Charles Hotel, in partnership with Boston Magazine, has announced the lineup for its 2008 Regattabar Jazz Festival. This year's festival is brought to you by Blue Note International and is sponsored by Grey Goose, Circle Furniture, Acqua Panna, and M. Steinert & Sons. The festival will run from February 8th thru May 10th, 2007.

"We are thrilled about this year's Regattabar Jazz Festival. Now in it's 23rd year, the festival continues to grow in excellence with incredible musical talent from across the globe. Representing the rich musical heritage of New Orleans for many years, Dr. John couldn't be a better fit for the kick-off," states Alex Attia, General Manager of The Charles Hotel.

Dr. John -- The talented organ and piano player is universally celebrated as the living embodiment of the rich musical heritage exclusive to New Orleans. His very colorful musical career began in the 1950s when he wrote and played guitar on some of the greatest records to come out of the Crescent City. Dr. John has earned Grammy award wins in 1989, 1992, 1996 and 2000. Today, he continues to write, arrange, produce and interpret with a passion that has yet to wane.
